NMUSD BOARD OF EDUCATION
MICHELLE BARTO TO RUN FOR NMUSD SCHOOL BOARD Trustee Area 5 Newport Beach — NMUSD School Board Candidate
Michelle Barto is literally lacing up her running shoes to prepare for her run for school board. Starting next week, she will be walking door-to-door to get the word out about her campaign. As a runner, she is hoping her many Ragnar Relays will come in handy for the miles she will cover campaigning.
Barto, a lifetime resident of Newport-Mesa and small business owner, has been heavily involved with Pretend City Children’s Museum, Girl Scouts of Orange County, and Children’s Hospital of Orange County. She is also the PTA President at her children’s school.
“Newport Beach is an amazing place to grow up,” Barto said. “My 4 children have had a wonderful experience attending public school here and I hope for all students to have the same opportunities. I am a connector – I listen for what is needed and find people who can help. I hope to do the same on the NMUSD School Board.”
Barto will be going door to door to over 5,000 homes, will be available to discuss issues at Meet & Greets throughout coming months, and you might even see her at the Barto 4 Board Lemonade Stand at a park near you.
Election day is Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018. You can learn more about Michelle Barto and her campaign by visiting www.votebarto4board.org.
